Athlete of the Month : February 2025

Congrats to Jamie for being our February Athlete of the Month. There are some people who come in the gym excited and clearly motivated. They are consistent for a couple weeks and then their attendance fades and it becomes tough to contact them. This was not Jamie. The energy and excitement was high when he joined. He actually knows my brother from working with him over 10 years ago so we have that connection. Jamie is father, husband, businessman, sports fan and enjoys a good time. He saw early on how positive the physical aspect of coming to class had on his body and mind. From there, he signed his son Max up to come a few days a week to supplement his lax and football team training. It’s been an awesome thing to witness. Jamie is driven even more that he gets to workout with his son. A huge change that Jamie made in the last couple months is dialing in on his nutrition. He made some simple yet effective changes to help shed unwanted weight. Along with making cleaner choices with his meals, his alcohol consumption dropped a ton as well. He realized he would have a drink or two some nights simply to have them. When you start to feel the negative effects of diet choices when you go to the gym or do a physical activity the following morning, it’ll definitely make you rethink some stuff. I’m super happy Jamie has been feeling great and enjoying his fitness journey at IP Fitness. It’s so cool to see the enjoyment of a father workout with his kid. It doesn’t last forever. If you haven’t met Jamie yet, get to an 8:15am or 7pm class during the week. You can catch him at an early weekend class too. He’ll have a yeti with coffee (maybe it’s pink) and he will always have a smile. He’s a great guy to be around and he works hard.
